**The Role**
You'll be responsible for researching and writing a range of content for Soldo, as well as supporting and encouraging others around the business with this task.
Additionally, you'll help find expert third party authors to write content on our behalf.
The content types (and goals of that content) will vary, from broad thought leadership pieces through to more targeted, specific articles.
But the focus will be engaging content about customer problems and the value that a spend automation platform can provide to customers.
Crucially, the quality of content is key - we're looking for someone who can write genuinely insightful articles that educate and engage our audience.
Research and write articles on a range of topics, for example: finance automation, improving finance team working practices, employee expenses, spend management, spend automation, travel expense policies, managing company budgets and spend, control vs. autonomy for spend management, accounting automation.
Maintain a strong understanding of industry and market trends affecting clients and create content around those trends.
For example, how does the return of business travel affect company spend?
How has remote working impacted expenses policies?
How are finance teams changing with the introduction of FinTech and automation?
Find ways to encourage content creation from others across Soldo, whether marketing, sales, product or others.
Help find and manage 3rd party authors to create content on Soldo's behalf.
Act as editor for that content.
Manage our podcast, The CFO Playbook, ensuring it is delivering insight for our audience and we're maximising its value across our content.
All work will be in Italian.
However, a key part of the role will be co-ordinating with content creators, marketers and authors in other languages (primarily English, French, Dutch, German) - sharing or re-purposing of content where appropriate (with translation), exchanging of ideas and so on.
To give you an idea of what makes a successful Lead Content Writer at Soldo, some key skills are:
- Significant experience directly writing pieces yourself - you can provide examples of great content that you've written
- A strong interest in and understanding of our domain (or an adjacent area) - finance, FinTech, expenses, spend management, budgeting etc
- Ability to encourage others in the org to write pieces for Soldo, winning over colleagues so that they want to contribute
- Experience commissioning pieces from 3rd party authors
- Comfortable working with content management systems (mainly WordPress)
- A pro-active approach to your work, taking the initiative and trying out new ideas - a inquisitive and curious approach to new content ideas
