You will also lead customer interactions with a warm and friendly demeanor while providing exceptional service to the members of The Lighthouse.
Our Cafe team will work collaboratively with the campus Assistant General Manager to ensure our customers have a positive experience from the moment they enter The Lighthouse.Here's what you'll do day-to-day:Prepare and serve a variety of espresso-based drinks, drip coffee, specialty salads, sandwiches, and provisions to members with exceptional service.Operate and maintain cafe equipment and coffee machines with care and to brand standard.Communicate with the Cafe Support team to manage the cleanliness, organization, and safety of the scullery kitchen and cafe.Assist with stocking and restocking coffee, milk, syrups, and other supplies.Provide recommendations and information about the menu.Provide feedback to management regarding best practices, menu decisions, and customer experience.Greet customers warmly, creating a consistent cafe experience for all members, paying special attention to the details of the members' expectations.Actively engage with customers in a positive and authentic way to help create a sense of belonging to the campus culture.Become an expert at operating the cafe POS system (Toast).Ensure accurate and timely interactions with members.Maintain a clean and organized cashier area.Handle customer inquiries, address concerns, and escalate to campus leadership as necessary.Support the Assistant General Manager in tracking daily sales, inventory, and low stock levels.Work with the rest of the Barista/Cashier team in a senior capacity, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure individual and collective success.Here's what we're looking for:Previous barista or cashier experience at a cafe is a plus.
