Ensure that Kerry products are up to standards and are of high quality.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Conduct required tests, analysis, and/or verification steps to assure that raw materials, batched product, and finished product exceeds established quality standards.Verify conformity through measurement and assessment.Make quick decisions and use sound judgement to make rational decisions pertaining to recommended adjustments, corrective actions and disposition of goods.Ability to handle being exposed to smell and a variety of flavor products, essential oils and raw materials.Be able to participate in safety initiatives, committees and teams.Never take shortcuts or use the improper tools/equipment that could compromise the safety of themselves or others.Food safety and quality is Kerry's priority so it's important to adhere to all Food Safety/Quality SOP's while also accurately completing required Food Safety & Quality records.Adhere to all safety policies and procedures while also maintaining a hazard free work area.Other duties as assigned.Key responsibilitiesQualifications and skillsMinimum Requirements:High School Diploma or GED, college degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, or relevant science is preferred.1+ years of experience in food/pharmaceutical manufacturing environment required.Experience with GMP, HACCP, FSMA, FCC/USP/ASTA test methods, aseptic technique and food or pharmaceutical production preferred.Intermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft Office suite preferred.Organizational skills & excellent communication skills.Ability to read, write and communicate in English.Ability to organize and plan ahead to maximize job efficiency and work safely.Ability to strive for excellence in all areas; focus on effective internal and external customer-supplier relationships.Working ConditionsFood manufacturing plantWarehouse environmentPhysical RequirementsAbility kneel, bend, squat, stoop, carry, reach, stand, grip, push, pull, arm extensions and perform elevated work.Ability to work in hot, cold or wet environments.Ability to lift 50 pounds on average of 150 times an hour.Ability to work overtime and use a flexible schedule.The intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of the types of duties and responsibilities that will be required of this job and shall not be construed as a declaration of the specific duties and responsibilities of any particular position.
