What you'll do: As Senior Lab Structural and Simulation Engineer, you will be responsible to develop best in class products in Food Preservation by performing structural simulations and structural tests.
Structural simulation involves development of numerical models that describe the behaviour of components, systems and structural materials.
The Structural Lab Engineer is responsible for managing and designing tools and equipment, overseeing manufacturing processes, and running quality checks on the products to ensure adherence to business requirements and guidelines.
The Lab Structural and Simulation Engineer must have excellent technical and organizational skills in order to inspect the operating systems and performance of equipment, resolving machinery failures, and modifying designs to improve feasibility.
Working in collaboration with other departments, Lab Structural and Simulation Engineer will support the research of current trends to identify opportunities that would generate more revenue resources and increase the company's profits.
In detail, you will: Plan, coordinate and monitor the test plan for every project by collaborating with the other areas of the laboratory and the other R&D departments; Perform structural testing according to project/activities plan, following Electrolux Internal and International Standards, and providing reports; Perform structural simulations according to project/activities plan and providing reports; Identify key operation activities for every project in term of simulation and calibration test; Perform troubleshooting and root-cause analysis in close collaboration with R&D and Quality departments to continuously improve our consumer experience; Development of testing manual, simulation manual and guidelines Support the creation, validation and use of simulation models and relative experimental activity; Define specifications for components and parts in prototype creation and testing execution; Implement DOE, optimization and statistical analysis tools; Closely interact with all R&D functions to ensure a seamless delivery of projects; Minimize trial and error activities and costs; Be responsible for the update and upgrade of the Structural Lab, identifying gaps and defining the development plan.
Who you are: Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent); 5+ years' experience in R&D or Quality laboratory; previous experience in white good industry is a plus; Experience with of FEA tools static, dynamic, modal, linear, non-linear and vibration analysis (Hyperworks is preferable); Knowledge of 3D CAD modeling software (CATIA is preferable); Knowledge in Matlab and Python is considered a plus; Good leadership and communication skills; Advanced Office skills; Fluent English; Structured engineering approach during all project phases; with an integrated multi-physics view Where you'll be : You will be based at the Susegana Plant Office.
