Translated is looking for an experienced Korean Language Expert to work directly with one of our top clients in the digital space.
Your responsibilities will include the following:
Responsible for proofreading phase of all the client's major projects & first touch experiences (home page, marketing emails, etc).
Continually QA'ing the client site and native apps. This includes identifying functionality and localization issues, and reporting and triaging bugs in cooperation with engineering teams and product managers.
Help with urgent translations when requests cannot wait for the standard Translated SLA.
Collaborate with content marketing / product marketing to ensure that chosen voice / tone flows through into all languages, across all surface areas.
Improve and maintain their language glossary and style guides.
Maintaining a close collaboration with Translated language leads & constantly providing feedback on how translations can be improved.
Collaborating with local teams to ensure stakeholders receive localization support for local initiatives (sales collateral, marketing events, etc).
Using market expertise to provide feedback and support to other cross-functional teams to support the growth and success of the client in the different languages / markets.
Basic requirements:
Korean Native Speaker.
Fluency in English is a must.
Solid experience in the localization industry.
Previous experience as a Korean Language Lead or Language Manager.
Experience with LQAs, glossary and style guide management.
Excellent computer and web skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred knowledge of CAT tools.
Preferred working experience or University studies in management or translation.
Notes:
This is an external contracting position (freelance).
30 to 40 hrs per week position.
Remote position (covering the APAC timezone).
