Mission Technologies, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries, is looking for a qualified individual to fill the role of Knowledge Management Lead to support US Sixth Fleet (C6F). The ideal candidate is someone willing to relocate or who already resides in Naples, Italy. The Knowledge Management Lead develops SharePoint dashboards and provides technical support.
Responsibilities: Responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of C6F's domains, including their SharePoint sites and solutions.Assesses, recommends, and implements knowledge management plans/programs/activities that improve the maturity of the Command's enabling technologies.Conducts Command knowledge management assessment efforts by generating routine reports covering staff element progress towards target metrics and continually assesses and improves content and site structures based on user needs and business changes.Advises Command Leadership on the best use of tools and technology to facilitate situational awareness, decision-making, and mission execution through effective creation, organization, application, sharing, collaborating, retrieval, and transfer of corporate knowledge.Provides direct support/training to Command personnel and staff with their SharePoint sites and libraries.Identifies areas for improvement and helps Command staff implement solutions to meet business/mission requirements.Responsible for user access managing user permissions to ensure secure access to content, complying with data security and access policies.Minimum Qualifications2 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 0 years experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years relevant experience.Experience with SQL Server, Power BI, PowerShell, and Office 365. Knowledge of basic SharePoint tools such as ULS Logs, workflows to automate business processes, and SharePoint forms for tasks.Working level knowledge and skill of desktop computers, peripheral equipment, and software. Experience working within an MS Windows environment. Experience working with MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, and use of the Internet.Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English. Professional communication and interpersonal skills and proficiency in writing and editing skills to include text organization, style editing, punctuation, grammar, and spelling.Active SECRET clearance required.Physical RequirementsWork environment is a modern office physically located at Building C41, U.S. Naval Support Activity, Naples, Italy. Work is performed indoors while living in a low to medium terrorist threat environment with some potential risks to safety and health hazards related to electronics.
