We are looking for a Key Account Manager, and we hope it is you!
You will report directly to the Head of Sales Savory Italy and will interact with all departments of the Savory business unit.
You will be based in Northern Italy but can work remotely while travelling to visit clients in Italy.
**Your Responsibilities**:
You will be a key member of the Savory Sales team in Italy, responsible for developing and delivering sales activities to the Meat and Ready Meals industry.
In this role you will develop and acquire new clients, as well as maintaining and intensifying the existing business in collaboration with the Head of Sales Italy.
A major focus will be on engaging and working with key customer decision makers to develop new sales within those customers.
This includes developing, implementing, and managing account specific strategies to achieve sales targets and coordinating creative projects to bring added value to the client.
You will have a continuous interface between the Head of Sales Italy, the Application and R&D team, who need to be kept informed of relevant sales activities and issues.
This will include cross-company initiatives with the parent company in Salzburg (Ex Wiberg) in collaboration with CS, technology, product development.
Overall, you will be responsible for providing accurate sales forecasts on a periodic basis and managing financials for your business.
You will be responsible for anlaysing internal and external data relating to sales, costs, markets, new business development and customers.
It will also require gathering and filtering competitive intelligence for the benefit of the customer.
Tasks in detail:
- Coordinate and manage detailed plans pipeline projects to achieve objectives and lead implementation at the customer.
- Identify new market potential and expand the number of new customers to see opportunities to stabilize the business and achieve new growth.
- Manage the primary relationships with customers' purchasing department, research, and product development.
Interface with key technical contacts to solicit new business and actively participate in mid to long term projects
- Develop and execute programs that will be widely respected and accepted by the client base that will result in the acquisition, development, and retention of business to improve equity, recognition and value of our corporate brand
- Analyse, evaluate, and compare the customer's product lines with those of the competition take responsibility for the analysis of the customer and business segments in order to identify trends, solve problems and correct any procedural errors committed
- Check the areas at the customer that will lead to higher sales and profitability and determine the actions to take to capture these areas
- Promote and encourage the development of new value-added business opportunities and initiate the development of new industry-leading products and systems Set up the sales approach for different types of customers, analyse their needs and design for each of them tailor-made proposals with a precise timing
- Being a "technical consultant" and guaranteeing a well-functioning communication structure not only towards the customers/market, but also towards the laboratories and development
- Build good working relationships with colleagues and sales management
**Job Requirements**:
**Experience**:
- Sales experience of at least 5 years
- Deep knowledge of the competitive (food) market
- Proven experience in project management
- Some experience in international project management
**Skills and abilities**:
- Strong and "hungry" high calibre seller with expert customer contact in the demanding market
- Excellent visit planning, prioritization, and follow-up skills
- Ability to direct and implement a project at a pace consistent with the value of its importance
- Must be able to function well within a large multinational organization with a modern approach to customer service
- Ability to work consistently and flexibly during different months of the year
- Good interpersonal communication skills and positive attitude to company values
- You should possess skills that will help the business grow in an environment of constant transition and higher performance targets
- Open minded, enthusiastic about contributing to the international environment
- Excellent negotiation and influencing skills and ability to work across multiple functional areas with a sense of urgency to address challenges
Education
- Technical degree, preferably in food technology, with a strong commercial affinity
Languages
- Good in English and Fluent Italian
