**What We Are Looking For**
We are looking for an ambitious Junior Sous Chef to help manage all aspects of the food offering for our restaurant.
You must be passionate about food, ingredients, seasonality and have the drive and ambitions to lead, recruit and train the team in the head chef's absence.
As Junior Sous Chef you will work closely with the head chef to be the driving force behind the food offering making sure it is seasonal, relevant and appealing to our guests.
You will have an in-depth health and safety knowledge ensuring that standards are kept in line with HACCP.
We are looking for a person with a clear understanding of what it takes to run the kitchen in the head chefs absence and be an inspirational and knowledgeable leader to the brigade.
**Main Duties**
- Help the Head Chef manage the day-to-day operation of the kitchen, whilst supervising and developing the brigade.
- Support the Head Chef with creating and testing menus, and with achieving departmental targets.
- Ensure the highest standards of food preparation and delivery, as well as effective communication across all sections of the kitchen.
- Manage the storage rooms, ensuring all food items are ordered and stored correctly.
**Required Skills/Qualifications**
- Have previous experience as a Sous Chef on Kitchen Manager
- Be passionate about delivering high quality amazing delicious food
- Be able to effectively manage, motivate and lead a team
- Have the ability to train, develop and enhance the skill level of the team
- Be a clear communicator and enjoy what you do
**Schedule**:
- 8 hour shift
- Weekend availability
**Requirements**:
- Ability to commute/relocate to Masseria Potenti, Puglia, Italy
- Must be able to seize, grasp, turn and hold objects with hands.
- Must be able to work on your feet for at least 8 hours.
- Fast paced movements are required to go from one part of the masseria to the other.
Occasionally kneel, bend, crouch and climb as required.
Contratto di lavoro: Tempo pieno
Retribuzione: €1.200,00 - €1.700,00 al mese
