Fondazione ICA Milano is seeking a motivated Junior Social Media Manager to join the small team of its office in Milan.
This is a freelance position: the number of hours and salary are based on experience.
While the position can be almost entirely covered remotely, it is necessary to spend a number of hours on site with the Head of Communication and Editorial Manager per month, as well as being present during Foundation events (such as screenings, exhibitions openings, books presentations, and various events).
DESCRIPTION Fondazione ICA Milano's Junior Social Media Manager is someone interested in the field of contemporary art, with a passionate and enthusiastic approach to technology and social media.
Ideally, the successful candidate is someone who regularly attends exhibition openings, cinemas, theatre, and takes inspiration from press releases, artists books, and exhibition picks.
ICA's Social Media Manager is someone who knows how to engage the Museum's public and reads the most important world-wide art magazines and newspapers in digital and in print.
The successful candidate understands the Museum's mission and is willing to spread it across various digital platforms.
S/he not only has a great eye for the most effective visual documentation to be selected and published but s/he is also able to demonstrate great writing skills and has a creative, curious, and confident attitude while being consistent with the editorial line of Fondazione ICA Milano.
S/he will be capable of independently managing all his/her tasks while responding to the Head of Communication and Editorial Manager with a shared goal of increasing the Foundation's online visibility and audience.
RESPONSIBILITIES Build, maintain and develop Fondazione ICA Milano's reputation on social media Develop engaging posts through social media Plan and manage sponsorship campaigns Plan and produce analytical documents and periodic reports Planning and preparation of multi-platform publishing plans REQUIRED SKILLS Excellent knowledge of English is an essential requirement Full knowledge of the most popular social media sites (Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, etc.)
Digital writing skills in Italian and English Solid communications experience of at least two years in social media management Good knowledge of Adobe Suite (especially InDesign and Photoshop) PREFERRED SKILLS Good ability to edit creative digital tools (banners, adv, etc.)
