Job Overview Jensen Hughes has a career opportunity for a passionate Associate Fire Protection Engineer in Milan, Italy in 2024.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and knowledge in fire life safety projects and permitting process with the National Fire Brigade.
The Engineer will work alongside leading fire safety professionals as peers and mentors.
Responsibilities Application of the national and international regulations and standards on Fire and Life Safety in the various areas of corporate interest (civil, commercial and industrial).
Team work on specific Fire Prevention projects: drawing up of drawings and technical reports according to company templates.
Project Review, Codes Consultancy.
Field inspections (mainly in Italy).
Advice and promotion of fire safety science.
Application of risk analysis models.
Requirements and Qualifications The ideal candidate meets the following requirements: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (as a reference Civil, Construction, Chemical, Hydraulic, Mechanical, Nuclear, Environmental engineering).
Italian language fluency, written and spoken is essential.
Excellent knowledge of English, written and spoken is desired.
Willingness to travel.
Excellent knowledge of MS Office and AUTOCAD.
The possession of registration on the lists of the Ministry of the Interior pursuant to law 818/84, although recent, is not mandatory but will be considered as a preferential skill.
Passion for the study of scientific subjects.
Proactivity, operational autonomy, empathy and positive attitude with the customer.
Direct insertion with a 36-month professional apprenticeship contract, if not in possession of registration on the lists of the Ministry of the Interior 818/84.
Otherwise, the RAL will be determined on the basis of any previous experience and evaluating the actual skills achieved.
To set you up for success in this role from day one (at a minimum) the following qualifications/experience are required: Qualification in computer-aided design, drafting, or similar required.
A minimum 2 years of work experience.
Experience with 2D AutoCAD and 3D BIM.
Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, required.
Good communications and writing skills.
Meticulous attention to detail.
Proficiency in English language.
