The Junior Project Manager supports the project management team in the planning, execution and closure of projects of various types. This role collaborates with senior project managers and operational teams to ensure that projects are completed successfully, meeting established deadlines and budgets.
The role allows to address business problems by focusing on process optimization, project management, cost analysis and active and passive management.
Responsibilities
- Work with the Senior Project Manager to define project goals, objectives and deliverables, ensuring that all necessary resources are allocated correctly.
- Monitor the progress of project activities, checking that budgets are adhered to, updating plans and schedules as necessary and reporting any problems or delays.
- Monitor and control the performance of the project in both economic and financial terms and, with the support of the relevant business functions, make any necessary changes to the project's scope based on the planned financial analysis.
- Contribute to the preparation and monitoring of reports and analyses in order to achieve the financial objectives set by the company (order growth, turnover, margins) and to support strategic decisions.
- Manage and update project documentation, including plans, progress reports and activity logs.
- Manage changes to the project scope by identifying the impact on time and cost for review of project metrics and possible review with senior management.
- Facilitate communication between team members, clients and other stakeholders by providing regular project status updates.
- Participate in the identification and assessment of project risks and contribute to the definition of corrective actions.
- Produce final reports or lessons learned to capitalise and disseminate findings, solutions and anything else necessary to improve effectiveness and efficiency in subsequent experiences.
- Ensure that project activities are carried out to established quality standards and that deliverables meet the required requirements.
- Ability to analyse existing business processes and propose solutions to improve efficiency, reduce costs and increase quality.
- Assist in the management of the supply chain, from the sourcing of raw materials to the distribution of the final product, optimising logistics flows
Technical Skills, Qualifications and Professional Experience
• Degree in Management Engineering, Engineering, Economics or related disciplines.
• Basic knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g. PMI, Agile).
• Organizational and time management skills.
• Leadership and teamworking skills.
• Basic knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g. Agile, Waterfall).
• Good problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Good knowledge of software tools (Office package, Microsoft Project, ERP, CRM).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of the English language (written and spoken).
