About the role:We are looking for a Junior Mechanical Designer, who will report to our Mechanical Modeling Design & Ovens Manager and join our Global Innovation Development & Design Team based in Alba (CN). This unit ensures technical progress and innovation, through mechanical design, prototyping and development of machineries for plant production and special process, supporting Industrial and R&D projects.
Main Responsibility:In this role, you will be responsible for designing special equipment and machinery, from the analysis of industrial needs to the installation phases in the Group's plants. Our design activities entail detailed technical project preparation, which will involve you in coordinating external studies and constantly checking the coherence of the project.
You will find innovative solutions to meet the specifications of new projects and promote the continuous improvement of existing plants. You will also cover aspects beyond the purely technical, such as budget, schedule, quality, hygiene, safety, ergonomics, environment and more.
You will attend internal meetings and collaborate with various stakeholders, in our plants around the world and in various internal departments, as well as with our external suppliers.
Who we are looking for:You will bring your Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fields, together with around 1-3 years of experience gained in the design of machinery for Food, FMCG, Automation or Automotive sector. Strong technical knowledge in mechanical design and engineering principles will be your key to succeed in this role, combined with proficiency in the use of CAD software (2D, 3D, Autodesk Inventor).
If you have already achieved some practice in project management activities such as budgeting, scheduling, quality assurance, safety, hygienic design and environmental compliance, it will be a plus for us, but if you are new to this we will be happy to train you!
Your ability as a good communicator both in Italian and English, your collaboration skills to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders, and your problem-solving abilities to tackle complex technical challenges will make you the perfect fit for this role. To complete the profile, you will bring your availability for international mobility, and your willingness to be at the forefront to see the results of your passionate work.
