Planet Farms, founded in 2018 in Milan, is a leading vertical farming company. It's currently present in the main distribution chains with its line of salads and pesto.
The company is in strong development in Italy and abroad and Planet Farmers today work at the production plant - the brand new and upcoming Cirimido Plant (Como, Italy) at the R&D Center on the outskirts of Milan, as well as at offices in Italy (Milan), Portugal (Coimbra), the United Kingdom (London) and the Netherlands (Eindhoven).
We are looking for a Junior Mechanical Designer.
As part of the mechanical design team, you will collaborate on the design of various types of automatic machines. You will also have to collaborate with the tech team in Milan to define new production facilities.
You will have to deal daily with a multidisciplinary team from various countries.
Availability for frequent travel to the various Planet Farms factories and offices is required.
Activities: Mechanical design of components and machines with specific focus on food plant engineering Support in defining technical specifications for suppliers of components or machines purchased from third parties Design of functional layouts Monitoring of supplier timing Knowledge: High school degree in technological subjects (mechanics) At least 1-2 Years of experience in mechanical designing Skills: CAD software (Solid Works, Autocad 2D) Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team Ability to work under stress Work towards goals Language skills: Italian English Nice to have Expertise in hygienic design Expertise in welding design Expertise in structural calculation Location: Collecchio (PR), with frequent (weekly) one day trips to other work locations in the group in northern Italy (Milan area) and occasional trips to other locations (even outside Italy).
