Role Summary Legal Specialist_ Legal Operations will act as a key business partner to GE Vernova Power Conversion France PL Operations and Legal team.
He/she will support business growth in particular in relation to commercial contracts with customers, suppliers and claim management.
As a member of the GE Vernova Power Conversion Legal team, she/he will partner with Power Conversion Legal team and General Counsel to improve the Legal operations across the business, developing contractual templates, training materials, preparing communications on legal matters, defining new processes involving the Legal team and other key stakeholders.
Essential Responsibilities As Legal Specialist, the preferred candidate is involved in: Providing legal advice and support to international commercial contracts (customers and suppliers) drafting and negotiation including ancillary agreements such as parent company guarantees for the France Profit Loss center.
Providing legal support to France PL claim management.
As PC Legal Operations, the preferred candidate is involved in: Leading projects to improve, maintain, update, digitize Power Conversion Legal Operations (templates, policy creation, creation of trackers and KPIs, maintenance of the legal webpage, training materials, etc.)
working with PC General Counsel and in cooperation with the rest of the Legal team of the business and business stakeholders.
Identifying and deploying Lean initiatives that can improve Legal team activities and support to the business on day by day businesses.
Qualifications/Requirements Fluency in French and in English.
Law degree or equivalent from an accredited law school.
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in relevant commercial transactions and general corporate law acquired at a prominent law firm or in a corporate legal department with an international scope exposure, or both.
Transactional experience in domestic and international contract drafting and negotiation.
Experience in claim negotiation and dispute resolution (including litigation, arbitration and mediation).
Experience in developing processes, templates, and/or in legal operations.
Ability and curiosity to use and customize legal operations tools including digital tools.
Desired Qualifications Proficiency in another language is an asset.
