What We Are Looking For: We seek a motivated Junior System Administrator to join our talented team of engineers, developers, and scientists.
The role involves effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of hardware and software systems, including related on-premise and cloud infrastructure.
Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the continuous, optimal performance of IT services and support systems, and facilitate their upgrades as our company expands and IT needs grow.
You will work closely with our Head of IT, utilizing best-in-class technology and participating in technical research and development to enhance the performance and security of our environment.
Key Responsibilities: Provision, install, configure, operate, and maintain hardware and software systems.
Ensure continuous, optimal performance of IT services and support systems.
Upgrade IT systems in response to company growth and evolving needs.
Collaborate with the Head of IT on technology implementation.
Participate in technical research and development to improve IT infrastructure performance and security.
Qualifications: Experience in building scripts, tooling, and automation for computing environments.
Experience managing and configuring office hardware devices and servers.
Experience in configuring network hardware and software.
Experience in configuring and managing operating systems (Linux/Mac/Windows).
Basic familiarity with cloud systems (e.g., AWS/Azure).
Preferred Qualifications: BSc Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or a scientific degree with relevant professional experience).
1-3 years of experience in similar roles.
Basic familiarity with DevOps principles, practices, and tools.
Proficient in English (written and verbal).
Problem-solving attitude with good attention to detail.
Team-oriented with a curious mindset and strong drive to learn and grow professionally.
Location: This is a full-time position based in Modena, Italy.
Initially, you will work on-site in our office.
