Job Summary: We are seeking a Calibration Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting, compiling, measuring, and documenting specific data during calibrations, making pass/fail determinations in accordance with internal quality standards. This role also involves maintaining the calibration schedule database, keeping the work area and equipment clean and orderly, and coordinating external calibration services. Additionally, the technician will troubleshoot and diagnose issues with electronic, pneumatic, and mechanical instruments, perform preventative maintenance, and provide training and guidance to production staff on calibration standards and procedures.
Responsibilities and Duties: Collect, compile, measure, and document specific data during calibrations, making pass/fail determinations in accordance with internal quality standards. Maintain and monitor the calibration schedule database. Keep the work area and equipment clean and orderly, following prescribed safety procedures at all times. Coordinate external calibration services, including determining costs and lead times, generating purchase requisitions, obtaining purchase order approvals, and communicating downtime information to key stakeholders. Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with electronic, pneumatic, and mechanical instruments. Perform preventative maintenance on control systems and instrumentation to ensure operational efficiency and regulatory compliance. Provide training and guidance to production staff on calibration standards and procedures. Qualifications And Skills Required Skills High school diploma or equivalent required. Basic knowledge of laboratory instruments (oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.) Read technical documentation (certificates, datasheets, etc.) Proficient in various computer software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
