Junior Cmf Designer (Internship)

Position SummaryPURPOSE OF POSITION:To plan and carry out contextual CMF research: bonding socio-cultural, lifestyle, technology, and design research with CMF trends.To sense the factors of emotional qualities in design and in premium technology (color, materials, manufacturing, etc).To find design resource and originality in product design development.Role And ResponsibilitiesDuties and Responsibilities under supervising of tutor:To carry out research and development according to plan and commission.Technology road maps and trends according to Samsung mass production standards.Refine emotional qualities in design and technology for premium design (color, materials, manufacturing, etc).Design and CMF (material, finishing, textures, and related technology) insight in Italy and Europe.Establish and enlarge local and European network of innovative CMF manufacturers according to technology road maps.Manage and control outsourcing CMF-based research and design projects.Support to submit the above research results in report to the Seoul Samsung corporate design center regularly.Performance Standards (Job results) under supervising of tutor:To solve assigned projects in a professional and logical manner.The project results meeting the purpose of projects and being sufficiently logical.Create research results to meet design needs and market demands.Design research results which have insight for mega trends, design, and user behavior.Research activities corresponded with Samsung and SDM strategy.Qualitative and quantitative research results.Work results in written form pertinently to tell the contents effectively.Provide valuable insight and clues for overall design projects.Presentation in a reliable and pertinent way.Skills And QualificationsREQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:MA in industrial design and related degree or social science major (Prefer a person who majored in industrial design or product design).Speak perfect English and fluent Italian.Ability to demonstrate effective and reliable presentation.Knowledge in computer software (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Rhino, MS PowerPoint, etc).Ability to create documents for research work.Ability to work and communicate with other design and business functions.
