ABOUT THE ROLE We are currently looking for a motivated Junior Accountant in our Accounting Department in Rome. The successful candidate will join an existing team and report to the Accounting Head of the Department. He/She will support the daily activities of the department by preparing general ledger entries for the Italian companies of the group in compliance with tax regulations and company policies and procedures.
In this role, you will deliver a variety of tasks such as: General ledger transactionsGeneral support to the office organization (organizing and maintaining administrative and account papers, electronic files, and documentation)Bank postingsPerforming bank reconciliationsPreparation of intercompany recharge invoices and reconciliation of intercompany balancesAssisting with the quarterly accounting closingEnsuring that accounting and VAT records are maintained in accordance with accepted policies and proceduresAccounts payable and receivableCredit card expenditures control and registrationInfra-annual tax complianceEXPERIENCE AND RELEVANT SKILLS The successful candidate should have:
A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in general accountingAccounts payable and receivable experienceBasic knowledge of International Accounting StandardsGood knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and as a plus:Microsoft Business Central / TagetikKnowledge of the Shipping sector will be considered a plusIndependent use of English language in a working environment, particularly in English technical/accountingMotivated person, flexible, proactive, and strong ability to work in a teamGood interpersonal and effective communication skillsAttention to detail and a high level of accuracyd'Amico is an Equal Opportunity Employer and all relevantly qualified applicants are considered without any discrimination.
