Signalling System provide to railway operators advanced safety support functions to automate and optimize the train traffic circulation on complex network.These systems are based on special Alstom product specially designed for business continuity and mission critical application.
Purpose of the Job
The Application Engineer will deal with the design of "Interlocking" systems
Responsibilities
-Identification and analysis of customer requirements already in the Tender Phase;
-Developing the Specific Application through the design flow to "customize" the Alstom Generic Product and the Generic Application functions to the needs of the project;
-Follow the design process of the Interlocking system, in collaboration with the project team and the other functions involved, from the requirements analysis phase to the design of the System logic;
-Apply application design methods and tools in accordance with Alstom's design flow and standards, contributing to the process of continuous improvement of the Interlocking design process and tools;
-Develop schematic plans, condition tables, equation files and plant files according to railway signaling standards;
-Develop the basic diagrams of the logic functions to be applied in the operating logic of the railway signaling system;
-Support the Verification & Validation and Test & Commissioning teams in the verification and validation phase of the plant by adopting design choices that minimize field activities and simplify migration management.
Required Skills:
• Educated to University Degree level;
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems and Office tool;
• Knowledge of CAD tool.
Preferred Skills:
• Knowledge of Signalling Principle and Rules;
• Knowledge of standards RFI
• Knowledge of Traffic Supervision and Regulation Principle;
• Minimum of 1-3 years experience in Application Design;
• Basic Information and Communication technology skills;
• Basic knowledge of software programming language and technology (VB, C#, C/C++, SQL, WPF, .Net);
• English language.
