_Italy Non Raw Material Commodity Buyer_.
She/he, based in Milan, will report to the
_South Europe Non Raw Materials Purchasing Manager _and will collaborate with Prysmian Italy Purchasing Manager and local Buyers to oversee the following activities:
- Manage the day-to-day activities necessary to purchase Indirect Materials (Drums, MRO, Packaging, ), Services (Transportation, Facility management, Leasing ) and Capex that meet the organization's standards of price, quality, timing, and reliability of supply;
- Support the analysis and negotiation of supplier bids, tenders, proposals or quotations with terms that are in the organization's best interest;
- Communicate with vendors to negotiate terms and conditions, contracts and resolve problems with the timeliness or quality of supplies and services;
- Identify, research, and evaluate new possible suppliers that meet the organization's standards of price, quality, timing and reliability of supply;
- Support the assessment of supplier's products and services to ensure they that they comply with specifications and meet the organization's quality&HSE standards;
- Identify saving and improvement opportunities in all NRM categories, possibly introducing new ways of thinking and approaches looking also at synergies within the Region;
- Enter orders into the SAP system for managerial approval and release;
- Collect Purchasing related data and provide management with operational reporting and analysis;
- Visit and audit suppliers with the aim to find saving and service/product improvement opportunities;
- Automatize the administrative work in order to concentrate the efforts in activities with added value.
Preferred requirements:
- 3-5 years' experience as Indirect Purchaser in a similar position;
- Previous work-experience with SAP system is requested;
- Ability to write and communicate verbally in a professional/business manner both in Italian and in English;
- High work-ethics, discretion and confidentiality;
- Strong fact-based negotiation skills;
- Hard-working attitude;
- Attitude and ability to work within an international and inter-functional team;
- Results oriented, strong problem-solving skills, good teamwork and cooperation attitude.
