Offer Description: Within the framework of language teaching for specific purposes, the research grant aims to investigate the theme of the linguistic and cultural training of family care workers with a migrant background. The applied research aims to investigate the linguistic-communicative needs of the migrant caregiver and the employer families in relation to the care of the elderly. The objective of the research is to design and pilot Italian L2 training courses specifically focused on the language of care work, as well as to design accompanying measures in the training of migrant caregivers exploiting the potential of digital humanities. The project thus aims to facilitate content learning in training courses and the certification of the skills related to the professional profile of the migrant caregiver, in interaction with local associations and organisations.
