We are currently looking for an IT Technician Service Support to join the IT department of Sandvik Machining Solutions in Italy.
The position is expected to mainly support office users and manufacturing users of one of the Division of Sandvik Machining Solutions based in Guanzate (Como) and could require travelling from time to time to Sandvik Milano offices.
About the job As IT Technician Service Support, your goal is to ensure that the implementation of business processes within the IT application area are done according to set requirements, using the possibilities given in the Sandvik IT systems.
The role requires the following main responsibilities: Ensure delivery of IT Services for IT Purchasing, PC Delivery for supported entities in the country.
Ensure delivery of IT Systems and IT Infrastructure to users in both office and manufacturing environments.
Manage and monitor actions of the supported sites.
Ensure the smooth operation and lifecycle management of IT systems and IT Infrastructures.
Ensure IT Security Compliance and the implementation and monitoring of Group IT Security rules.
Lead local and support global IT projects on site.
Continuously improve local IT processes to optimize customer experience in the country.
Manage and collaborate with the local IT using Agile and Servant Leadership style.
Ensure proper site documentation of all IT Systems and IT Infrastructure.
Ensure lifecycle management by using asset configuration management.
Manage assigned incidents (investigate, solve, perform status updates and document solution).
Deliver efficient and timely responses to support requests, ensuring high levels of user satisfaction.
About you We are looking for an IT passionate professional motivated to contribute to the delivery of an excellent IT service and to add value to a market leader Company, constantly focused on innovation and the future.
Our perfect match has the following features: Secondary school degree, preferably with information technology address; At least 2-3 years' experience as IT technical support and/or IT service desk in a multinational company or in consultancy firm providing IT support services to multinational companies; knowledge of IT support in a production site, even if not mandatory, is considered a plus; Good general knowledge in IT and provision of IT services; Good knowledge of computers architecture; Good knowledge of the most widespread software used in business environment (Microsoft, Adobe etc.
); Base of programming, .net is preferred, VBA is also good for legacy Office applications; Analytical and problem-solving skills; strong attention to detail and commitment to quality solutions and customer service; Good interpersonal skills and strong communication skills; Teamwork: understanding the necessity and value of teamwork; ability to work effectively as part of a team; Cross team collaboration and inclusion with respect of different culture; Good level of English (verbal/writing); Even if the role is based at the company premises in Guanzate (Como), availability to travel to Milano offices when needed is required.
