**Duties**:
- Serves as the Information Technology (IT) System Administrator, Workstation Area Security Officer (WASO) and Information Assurance Security Officer (IASO).
- Provides technical assistance for GATES documentation and ICODES personnel in their daily duties.
- Plans, programs, and manages communications and computer systems in support of EUCOM, CENTCOM and NATO port operations.
- Identifies, analyzes, diagnoses and resolves complex hardware and software failures.
- As the IASO, ensures compliance with the network security policies and procedures
- Analyzes data communications requirements and implements procedures for all on-line subsystems to include the Government Command and Control System
- Serves as the SDDC Italy Detachment Security Officer.
Publishes local standard operating procedures and emergency action plans for all security matters relating to the Battalion Headquarters and detachments.
- Performs internal audit functions relating to risk management.

- **Specialized experience**: One year of specialized experience which includes identifying, reporting, and resolving a variety of IT issues and problems; ensures compliance with the network security policies and procedures.
