More About the Role:The Defense Group of Leidos has an exciting opportunity for a IT Specialist Mid to support efforts for the OCONUS Enterprise Network (ONE-Net) portion of the Service Management, Integration, and Transport (SMIT) contract located in Naples, Italy.NGEN-R SMIT is the largest IT services program for the Navy, by delivering the OCONUS Enterprise Network (ONE-Net); inclusive of cybersecurity services, network operations, service desk, and data transport.
Ultimately, Leidos will support the Navy in unifying its shore-based networks and data management to improve capability and service while also saving significant dollars by focusing efforts under one enterprise network.What You'll Get to Do:•Daily maintenance of existing systems, deploying OS and application updates to workstations and servers, Operating System Image development, Application Virtualization, ECM Package and Software deployments, driver management and reporting on IT assets.•Resolve incident and change tickets related to ONE-Net systems.•Work in dynamic environments that require team interaction and coordination of efforts.•Interface with both client managers and system users.•Provide remote support and/or travel to customer sites as required.•Utilize verbal and written communication skills to maintain accurate system documentation and provide training as required.•Work with supporting technologies such as Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT), Windows PowerShell, Structured Query Language (SQL), Windows Server Update Services (WSUS), and VSphere are necessary for continuing support of the enterprise environment.•Assist information engineers in coding, testing, implementation, and documentation projects.
•Conceptualize, design, construct, test, and implement portions of business and technical Information Technology (IT) solutions through application of appropriate software development life cycle methodology.
•Interact with the customer to gain an understanding of the business environment, technical context, and organizational strategic direction.
•Define scope, plans, and deliverables for assigned projects.
•Collect, identify, define, and organize detailed user and IT requirements.
•Coordinate and collaborate with others in analyzing collected requirements to ensure plans and identified solutions meet customer needs and expectations.
•Confirm and prioritize project plans and deliverables with the customer.
Participate in business and technical IT solution implementations, upgrades, enhancement, and conversions.
•Apply metrics to monitor performance and measure key project criteria.
•Prepare system documentation.
-Establish and maintain security, integrity, and business continuity controls and documents.
-Analyze, identify and resolve business and or technical problems using appropriate tools.
-Participate in special studies and stay current on emerging tools, techniques, and technologies.
•Experience in Information Systems (IS).
-Specialized experience in a single discipline such as assembly/integration, cross-discipline functions, data engineering, industry expertise, knowledge engineering or legacy evolution.
•Must possess an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) network support certification and an Operating System (OS)/Application certification.You'll Bring These Qualifications:•Requires B.S.
Degree or equivalent experience and less than 2 years prior relevant experience (an additional 4 years of previous IT experience can be used in lieu of education).•U.S.
Citizen and have an active DoD Secret Clearance.•Compliant with DoD 8570 IAT Level II (Security+, CCNA Security, etc.
).•Possess at least one OS certification (MTA, MDAA, MCP, MCSA, MCSE, etc.
).These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:•Cisco Certified Network Associate Routing and Switching (CCNA Routing and Switching).•Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA).•Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS).•Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) certification.Pay Range:Pay Range $46,800.00 - $84,600.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
