Role purposeThe main purposes will be to Design & Delivery the new solutions to support Vodafone Mediation and Rating Solution, in line with Business as Usual needs and local and global marketing requirements, with a strong omni-channel approach, identifying the best IT solutions, drawing the best user interfaces, increasing operative efficiency and contributing to the design of an overall simple, effective and future proof customer experience, for both consumer and enterprise commercial business units.
Main activities and responsibilitiesTo define, design and implement business solutions in Mediation and Rating area, suggesting the best technical solution, to cope with commercial requirements, technology evolution, users experience.To grant robust technical implementation and approaches, supporting and challenging vendors.To grant the certification process to ensure the appropriate quality in the delivery phase, delivering high quality products and solutions, through architecture support and capacity planning needs.To grant the correct and effective business involvement and alignment in all the project phases.To coordinate and manage vendors activities during the project deployment, in order to guarantee time to market, best use of the budget, compliancy to users requirements.Key accountabilities and decision ownership:Solution Design & Implementation, including delivery and post deployment support for projects impacting Mediation and Rating applications.Work in teams (business & technology) to define new Vodafone processes and services and the related customer experience.Ensure smooth product releases and zero defects on Mediation and Rating platforms.Availability to work on:E2E project as project manager.Other area systems (like billing or fraud detection systems, and so on).Call and work occasionally on holidays.Core competencies, knowledge and experienceExperience in Telco Mediation and Rating applications and processes (both consumer and enterprise market).Knowledge of the Mediation and Rating propositions available on the market.Ability to understand marketing and internal users needs, plus a strong vision on Telco market evolution.Strong experience in managing complex and cross domain projects, with a specific experience on IT suppliers management.Previous experience in technical analysis or code development.Agile development hands-on experience is a plus (Scrum, Lean, Extreme, Kanban, SAFe, RAD, FDD, DSDM, ASD, …).Keen on delivering results.Problem Solving skills.Experience on IT Delivery in a changing environment.Customer oriented.Must have technical / professional qualificationsUniversity degree (Engineering or Computer Science).Fluent in English (written and spoken).Experience with Amdocs Billing solution.Knowledge in Mediation / Rating processes.Knowledge of a Telco BSS Architecture.Experience in key innovation topics is a plus (Cloud, DevOps, microservices, OpenAPI).Experience in AWS/Azure/Google Cloud environments.Programming languages: Java and SQL.Who we areYou may have already heard of Vodafone - We're a leading Telecommunications company in Europe and Africa.
