Pirelli is seeking a skilled IT Project Manager to lead the development and transformation of our laboratory IT systems. This role will be pivotal in transitioning from outdated custom systems to the cutting-edge LabVantage LIMS platform, a leading solution in laboratory information management.
The successful candidate will focus on project management and functional analysis ensuring that the new platform aligns with our operational needs and technical requirements.
The candidate will be in charge of:
• Leading the planning and implementation of the LabVantage LIMS platform across all laboratory sites globally
• Managing project scope, requirements, timelines, and budgets, ensuring that all deliverables meet quality standards
• Collaborating closely with IT specialists, laboratory managers, and external vendors to ensure that the system meets our specific needs
• Overseeing a team of IT professionals and consultants, fostering a collaborative work environment under high-pressure situations
• Ensuring smooth transition and system integration without disrupting existing laboratory operations
• Implementing the change management with training sessions for laboratory staff and detailed documentation
• Providing regular updates to senior management on project progress, risks, and outcomes
• Maintaining flexibility to adjust plans and strategies as the project progresses and challenges arise
Skills & Competencies
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Master's degree or relevant certifications preferred (e.g., ITIL, PMP)
• At least 3 years of experience in project management within a consulting environment, managing complex IT projects preferably with exposure to laboratory information systems
• Strong technical background with a solid understanding of software development, database management, and system integration
• Proven ability to lead comprehensive functional analysis
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure with a high degree of independence of independence
• Excellent interpersonal skills with experience managing stakeholder expectations and communicating to non-technical staff
• Willingness to travel internationally as required by project demands
• Strong computer skills, excellent knowledge of Office; experience in projects with MES or PLM systems can be considered a plus
• Fluency in English and Italian
