IT MANAGER Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Manager to oversee our company's technology IT operations and ensure the implementation of the best practices. The IT Manager will be responsible for coordinating, planning, and leading computer-related activities in our organization. This includes managing the IT team, ensuring network security, overseeing software development and system updates, and aligning technology strategies with the company's business goals.
Key Responsibilities: Leadership and Team Management Lead, manage, and mentor the IT department staff. Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment to encourage professional growth and development. Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback. Strategic Planning Develop and implement IT strategies that align with the company's business objectives. Evaluate and identify appropriate technology platforms for delivering the company's services. Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure the company remains competitive. Network and System Management Oversee the design, installation, and maintenance of the company's computing infrastructure, including local area networks (LAN), intranet, and internet systems. Ensure the reliability, performance, and security of all IT systems and infrastructure. Manage cloud computing and data storage strategies. Cybersecurity Develop and implement robust security protocols, policies, and procedures to protect the organization's data and IT infrastructure. Monitor the network for security breaches and investigate violations. Lead incident response activities and conduct post-incident reviews. Project Management Plan and manage IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. Collaborate with other departments to determine and fulfill their technology needs. Coordinate with external vendors and service providers. Support and Training Provide technical support and guidance to IT staff and end-users. Develop and deliver training programs for staff to enhance their technical skills and understanding of new technologies. Ensure high levels of customer service and support. Budgeting and Cost Management Prepare and manage the IT department's budget. Monitor expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities. Ensure cost-effective use of technology resources. Inventory/Supplier Management Oversee the inventory of all IT assets, including hardware, software, and peripheral devices. Maintain an accurate and up-to-date inventory database, tracking the lifecycle of each asset from acquisition to disposal. Conduct regular audits of IT inventory to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies. Order Management Process purchase orders and ensure that all orders are accurately documented and tracked. Manage the receipt, inspection, and storage of incoming IT equipment. Ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of internal requests for IT assets. Supplier Management Establish and maintain relationships with IT suppliers and vendors. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service level agreements to secure favorable terms for the company. Evaluate supplier performance and manage vendor contracts to ensure quality and reliability. Skills Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (master's degree preferred). Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in IT management, with a proven track record in a leadership role. Extensive experience with system administration, system security, and IT infrastructure. Technical Skills Strong knowledge of network and systems management. Proficiency in various operating systems and platforms (Windows, Linux, Apple). Familiarity with cloud computing, virtualization, and cybersecurity best practices. Experience with database management and data governance. Soft Skills Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Effective communication and project management skills. Ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Strong ability to write/update technical documentation over time.
