POSITION OVERVIEW The IT Manager is responsible and accountable for the smooth running of our computer systems within the limits of requirements, specifications, costs and timelines. He/She supervises the implementation of our company's computing needs. The IT Manager manages and maintains the computers, printers, Internet connections, televisions, cabling, email/network accounts, audio/visual systems and phone systems for the property (guest and in-house). You will also maintain all network domains associated with the hotel and ensure connectivity for staff and guests. RESPONSIBILITIES Manage the day-to-day activities of the IT function to ensure maximum operating efficiency. Engage Vendors and IT Team to identify, diagnose and resolve all business systems incidents and problems. Develop and maintain relationships with technical vendors, 3rd party business partners and service providers. Ensure service providers perform to service obligations. Ensure compliance with all corporate policy & procedures and legal requirements related to Hardware & software installation, use and licensing agreements. Install and test corporate approved program changes to the hotel computer system(s). Understand all standards and customized features and functions of the hotel front office systems, point of sale systems, and other systems, including but not limited to system security, system reports, manager functions, system utilities, and user functions. Perform local systems backup, ensuring all critical data is protected and functional. Ensure that the computer room fire protection, temperature control, and power requirements meet the company security specification as described in the company security system. Control all user IDs, passwords, and security parameters. Establish documents, test, and communicate appropriate emergency procedures to follow when the hotel computer system(s) are inoperable. Work closely with the Engineering department to ensure the proper maintenance of all in-room technology. Manage special projects as assigned by Management. Create training programs and resources to educate staff on the utilization of IT systems and tools. Assist hotel guests with technical requirements and issues. Adhere to Corporate IT instructions and provide reports on a timely basis. Ensure that all critical systems are available 24 hours a day. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in fields related to IT. Five years' experience in the field. Previous experience in hospitality is preferred. Good command of English and Italian, both verbal and written. Fluent in a variety of software and hardware programs with recent training and experience. Experience with phone systems, Wi-Fi hardware, as well as daily use of office tools such as printers & AV equipment. J-18808-Ljbffr
