The IT Cost Controlling Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring that the IT department is aligned with the financial objectives of the organization, while maintaining the quality of IT services ashore and on-board.
S\/he is responsible for managing and optimizing the IT running costs of the organization.
This role requires an individual with strong knowledge of the IT domain, excellent communication skills, and the ability to challenge the local cost controllers of the global organization, following the IT guidelines around the IT systems and services.
S\/he will work closely with the Finance department, and the other business stakeholders to ensure that the IT budget is optimized, costs are controlled, and financial objectives are met.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting\/ Finance \/ Business Management or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in IT running cost management, with a focus on cost optimization and control.
- Strong knowledge of the IT domain, including hardware, software, and services.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with vendor management and contract negotiation.
- Familiarity with IT financial management tools and processes.
- Fluent in English, any other language is an advantage;
- Microsoft Office Suite, Advanced Excel, Powerbi is a plus.
- Customer focus and proactive attitude ability to partner effectively with IT personnel.
- Support the IT units in the planning of the global IT running cost budget, related to the ashore and on-board systems and services, challenging and controlling the data.
- Develop and maintain the framework to track the IT cost drivers and key performance indicators.
- Analyze IT running costs and identify with the IT units and local cost controllers the opportunities to optimize expenses, as well as issues putting at risks the global IT budget.
- Monitor and report on IT spending trends, highlighting areas of concern or opportunities for cost savings.
- Support the development and implementation of strategies to reduce IT running costs, without compromising the quality of IT services.
- Partner with the Finance department, at corporate and local levels, to identify and implement process improvements that increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Support the IT Budget and IT Administration leaders for the monthly closing process, including providing the entries for the accruals booking.
- Support the cost controllers and work with the Finance department to ensure that IT costs are accurately budgeted, forecasted and reported.
- Provide detailed reporting to generate transparency of expenditure, including monthly report on variance analysis of actuals vs budget \/forecast.
- Develop and implement vendor management strategies to optimize the cost of IT services.
