The IT Business Partner (ITBP) for Operations & Supply Chain acts as the strategic link between IT and the operations/supply chain teams, ensuring that technology solutions optimize business processes, enhance supply chain efficiency, and support operational excellence.
This role requires a deep understanding of supply chain and operational processes, and the ability to translate business requirements into IT solutions that drive productivity, innovation, and cost savings.
Expertise in Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP is essential for managing and improving core supply chain and operational functions.Key Responsibilities: Serve as the primary liaison between the IT department and the operations/supply chain teams, understanding key challenges, goals, and operational workflows.Collaborate with supply chain and operations leadership to identify IT opportunities that enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve supply chain visibility.Translate business requirements from the operations and supply chain teams into IT solutions, particularly within Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP, that drive process optimization, inventory management, logistics, and production planning.Ensure the successful deployment and continuous improvement of Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP and other IT tools and systems such as MRP (Material Resource Planning), PLM (Product lifecycle Management), WMS (Warehouse Management Systems), MES (Manufactoring Execution System), Supplier Portal, Production Scheduling and Demand Forecasting tools.Facilitate IT-related projects within the supply chain and operations areas, ensuring alignment with business priorities and timely delivery.Actively participate in process re-engineering efforts by leveraging technology, including Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP, to streamline operations, reduce lead times, and improve customer satisfaction.Drive the adoption of digital transformation initiatives, including automation, IoT (Internet of Things), data analytics, and cloud-based supply chain management solutions.Provide ongoing support for critical supply chain systems, ensuring their stability and scalability to meet future business needs.Monitor industry trends and advancements in supply chain technology, advising the business on innovations that can improve efficiency, agility, and competitiveness.Ensure that IT services and solutions meet compliance and quality standards, particularly in relation to inventory accuracy, production planning, and supply chain performance metrics.Lead change management efforts to ensure smooth adoption of IT systems across the supply chain and operations departmentsQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
5+ years of experience in IT, with a strong focus on supply chain, operations, or manufacturing environments.
Experience in Consulting is a PlusProven ability to align IT strategy with operational and supply chain goals.Deep understanding of supply chain processes, such as procurement, production planning, logistics, inventory management, and demand forecasting in a large/international companyFluent in English (written and spoken)Experience in Consumer Goods & Fashion IndustriesStrong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels.Expertise in Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP and its application in supply chain and operations management.Familiarity with ERP, MRP, PLM, MES, WMS, and other supply chain management tools.Experience in project management and process improvement initiatives.Problem-solving mindset with a focus on operational efficiency and innovation.
