Iot Php Software Engineer

Position Overview:
This position will be part of a full-stack web development team and will require writing PHP, JavaScript, CSS and HTML on a PHP based MVC framework utilizing CSS and JavaScript libraries for HTML DOM tree traversal and manipulation, graphing, and work-flow visualization, and some Mongo DB storage.
Participation in the complete life cycle of product features:
design, development, and deployment.
**Requirements**:
Very strong understanding of the requested languages:
PHP
JavaScript
CSS
HTML
Strong understanding of:
MVC frameworks like CakePHP
Event-driven development
HTML DOM Hierarchy
CSS Hierarchy
Debugging andTesting (developer, unit, and system-level)
JavaScript concepts:
IIFE, Prototype, XMLHttpRequest, WebWorker, and WebSocket
Git - fundamentals, code review / pull requests, merge conflict resolution etc.
Average understanding of:
Data serialization:
JSON, XML, etc.
Scalability:
code, architectures, data storage
Linux web server management:
Webserver configuration, bash scripting, performance tuning
MongoDB:
queries, indexes, NoSQL optimization
Willingness to improve production infrastructure
Quick learner - be able to quickly pick up tools and put them to use
Excellent at communicating your ideas and gathering requirements
Detail-focused understanding the importance of getting a product shipped
Preferences:
8+ years of PHP MVC Framework experience and event-driven development and HTML DOM traversal and manipulation
3+ years working with highly performant API endpoints
Hands on experience with agile development process
A relevant college education and/or equivalent project experience
