Position Title: Intramural Sports Intern

Position Summary: This internship will run through May. The Intramural Sports Intern will act as the primary manager of the University's intramural program and will also assist with supervising the University fitness centers and club sport operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:Hiring, training and evaluating intramural student staff of 75-100 employees.Provide direct supervision to student employees and ensure employee compliance with department expectations.Conduct ongoing student employee training sessions and student employee evaluations.Oversee the planning, scheduling and administration of intramural games, tournaments and special events. Ensure participant compliance with department policies and procedures.Maintain inventory of intramural equipment.Facilitate sport specific captain and employee meetings.Compile and maintain intramural records, end of year reports, participation records, operations manual, rule updates, etc.Maintain the intramural website.Responsible for the routine marketing of intramural programs.Also responsible for assisting with other athletic/club sport events as assigned by the Coordinator of Intramurals & Aquatics.All duties and responsibilities must be completed in compliance with University, Conference and NCAA rules and regulations.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree.Preferred Qualifications:Experience working in intramural sports at the collegiate level preferred.
