Arup Italia is currently seeking a Sustainability Intern available to work on sustainability strategies, energy modelling and environmental and wellbeing certifications.
Role
Development of sustainable energy solutions through interdisciplinary cooperation with other Arup departments (e.g.
architecture, faade, urban planning, etc.)
Preparation of energy modelling and documentation to support local regulations compliance Support to energy modelling to support building design from early stages to construction Support to energy analysis and feasibility studies at urban scale Support during site visit in LEED/WELL building site Requirements
Essential Skills and Knowledge
Attending last year (or later) of Masters degree in engineering or architecture or other relevant fields of study Main aspects of Italian and international standards/laws about sustainability and energy savings Main aspects of low carbon strategies for buildings and masterplans (embodied and operational) Good level of English Systems thinking analytical capabilities Skills for working in multidisciplinary teams Desirable skills and knowledge
Rhino/Grasshopper/Ladybug/Honeybee Energy modelling software (IES, Design Builder, Trnsys) Energy compliance software (Edilclima, Cened, Termolog) Software plugin for energy/daylight analysis (e.g.
Sefaira, cove tool, etc) Revit (e.g.
Rooms/Spaces, colorplan, parameter modification) Digital skills including data extraction and interoperability between software Embodied carbon tool (OneClick) is a plus Daylight modelling and/or CFD experience is a plus LEED and/or WELL knowledge is a plusSecond foreign language is a plus International study/work experience is a plus.
