Accountant to join our finance team in a temporary, interim role.
This position requires a hands-on approach to managing the month-end close process, providing detailed financial analysis, and supporting audit preparation.
The ideal consultant will bring expertise in accounting operations and GAAP, along with a proactive, collaborative spirit.Key Responsibilities:Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close in accordance with GAAP.Prepare monthly journal entries for prepaids, accruals, amortization, fixed asset depreciation, ROU assets, and other financial areas.Perform reconciliations for bank accounts and various GL accounts.Review, prepare, and analyze accounting transactions and financial statements, assessing accuracy and providing variance explanations.Conduct in-depth operational analysis, including COGS, landed cost, and margin analysis.Assist in developing and implementing accounting policies and streamline the monthly close process.Support the year-end audit preparation and assist in maintaining internal financial controls.Provide backup support for Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R).Report directly to the Director of Finance.Perform other related duties as assigned.Ideal Consultant Qualifications:5+ years of accounting experience with strong GAAP knowledge.Advanced Excel skills; ERP experience (NetSuite preferred).Demonstrated success with month-end close processes and account reconciliation.Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills, especially in financial reporting and variance analysis.A collaborative, resourceful, and proactive approach.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Interest in personal growth and willingness to engage in a dynamic team environment.What You'll Enjoy:A full-time temporary position in a hybrid work setting (2 days on-site each week in Venice).Opportunity to work alongside a supportive finance team, reporting directly to the Director of Finance.If you're an experienced accounting consultant ready to dive into this interim role, please apply today.
