ABOUT THE ROLE: A member of the Housing team, the Interim A Bridge Home (ABH) Site Supervisor will oversee a variety of on-site activities including providing case management services as needed, documentation and daily reporting, ensuring the safety and cleanliness of the sites.
The Interim ABH Site Supervisor is expected to collaborate with case managers, partners, and other SPY departments to oversee and/or provide support services to residents in order to help them transition into permanent housing.
The role will collaborate with other departments to ensure that residents have a successful move-in, stay, and exist from the housing program.
The Interim ABH Site Supervisor will also provide on-call support for SPY's other housing programs as needed.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of direct service to at-risk populations and trauma-informed care.
Specific knowledge or experience related to transitional aged youth experiencing homelessness is a plus.
WHAT YOU'LL DO: Work along the Housing Program Manager to ensure successful implementation of site-protocols and member guidelines.
Monitor ABH site and member needs, and operate as the primary contact person for all program on-site emergencies requiring SPY staff representation with external agencies and provide on-site support in crisis situations.
Ensure the grounds and facility are safe and secure for residents, staff, and volunteers.
Provide case management support with members as needed.
De-escalate conflict and provide crisis intervention and mediation to young adults as needed.
Build rapport with members on a daily basis; encourage members to engage with ABH programming and case management services.
Support with member intakes and exits, including packing their items and discharging from program.
Conduct check-ins with staff as appropriate and communicate all relevant information to the Housing Program Manager and/or Senior Case Managers.
This can include providing feedback, training opportunities for professional development and regular evaluations, including corrective action as needed.
Educate, network and represent programs to local agencies, coalitions, community stakeholders and other organizations.
Support the Housing Program Manager with data collection, preparation of monthly reports, and other program administrative duties as assigned.
Ensure consistent enforcement of policies and procedures across weekend staff.
Participate in staff meetings and trainings, team meetings and other community meetings, as needed Provide on-call support and coverage across SPY locations, including the Access Center, The Nest, and Roots to Grow sites as needed.
Supervise, coach and evaluate the Security Support Worker and Support Worker roles.
Other duties as assigned to support the mission of the program and organization.
Requirements WHAT YOU'LL NEED: Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Public Policy, Public Administration or related field is preferred, but not required.
2+ years of direct service experience with people experiencing homelessness and/ or housing instability is required.
2+ years experience of residential experience, ideally with the TAY population is required.
1-2 years of professional experience managing and supervising is requir Knowledge of social service resources for youth experiencing and at-risk of homelessness A willingness to work collaboratively as part of the SPY team and the ability to work harmoniously as part of a diverse workforce A devotion to ensuring SPY's sites remain clean, beautiful, and a hopeful place for all who enter An ability to work in a fast paced environment that requires effective collaboration with a variety of organizations and individuals Knowledge of trauma-informed care, harm reduction and housing first models Must possess great communication and organizational skills ?
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Outlook), and Google Drive (preferred) Must have reliable transportation, valid California driver's license, and proof of current insurance WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Changes in the environment, such as the office or outdoors.
Physical effort/lifting, such as sedentary- up to 15-20 pounds at times.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS: Mandated Reporting Requirements : The person holding this position is considered a 'mandated reporter' under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and is required to comply with the requirements set forth in CSU Executive Order 1083 Revised July 21, 2017 as a condition of employment.
COVID-19 Vaccination Requirements: Effective August 9, 2021, the State Health Officer has mandated that all workers, paid or unpaid, in homeless services organizations must provide proof of vaccination.
If eligible for a booster shot, proof of booster is also required.
If not fully vaccinated, weekly COVID-19 testing is necessary depending on the program.

Employees who fail to demonstrate the expected commitment, performance and attitude may be terminated at any time during the introductory period.
However, completion of the introductory period does not change or alter the "at-will" employment status.
