Job Description SS&C Algorithmics The SS&C Algorithmics (part of SS&C Technologies Inc.) financial risk, regulatory and performance platform serves banking, insurance, and asset management and hedge fund institutions.
We collaborate with clients around the world to respond proactively and transparently to regulatory requirements and solve the most complex challenges in financial risk management and performance measurement.
About the Role SS&C Algorithmics is seeking a highly motivated Integration Engineer that provides clients with a comprehensive range of skills to support the implementation of end-to-end financial risk solutions primarily in support of management and regulatory requirements.
This role will involve the provision of support and consultancy to ensure our clients receive the best possible advice, guidance, and quality of service.
Your Responsibilities: Provide consultancy and product support internally and to clients based on solid understanding of the Algo product suite and implementation requirements.
Define and scope configuration, interfacing and enhancement work with project managers, senior engineers, and financial engineers.
Undertake setup and configuration of the Algorithmics and third party products (database, middleware, reporting solutions), troubleshooting, testing (functional and volume) for original installation and system upgrades.
Install products and customized components on client sites, assist with acceptance tests and provide first line support following implementation.
Develop customized solutions and modules in a range of development tools.
Design and implement interfaces between client's source systems and Algorithmics products.
This will largely involve the Algorithmics' data mapping tool and definition of data required from the client's systems.
Where appropriate deliver training via formal training courses and workshop sessions internally and to clients.
Deliver product overviews and lead discussions in client pre-sales, develop pilot and proof of concept solutions.
Essential Requirements Bachelors or Master's Degree.
Experience in software or database systems development and/or support with experience of project life cycles and complex product installation, customization and commissioning.
Familiarity with database essentials (SQL, installation, sizing, performance).
Use of UNIX commands / file systems and UNIX application installation and shell scripting.
Experience with Systems interfacing or data migration between systems with mapping tools or bespoke solutions.
Fluent written and spoken English/Italian.
Ability to work with functional and technical team on the delivery of implementation activities.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Office tools knowledge (spreadsheets for financial validation work, word processing for documentation, etc.).
Programming skills for supporting data modelling (Shell Scripting, Visual Basic, Python) is advantageous.
Excellent presentation and communication skills.
Familiarity with risk management (market risk / credit risk in commercial or treasury environment).
Experience with Reporting systems design and development – particularly using OLAP tools.
Experience with middleware solutions.
Development experience and coding skills (VB, Java, C++).
Familiarity with web based delivery, Java components.
