Job Description As an active member of the Installation team (Iteam), you are responsible for the installation of semiconductor tools across the European Region, mainly in France, Italy, Germany, and Ireland. Your key responsibilities as an Installation Engineer include:
Performing independently tool installation tasks such as mechanical assembly, electrical connections, and robot calibrations. Following all checklists and procedures to ensure correct procedures and schematics are available prior to performing work. Responding to fab issues by communicating with other engineers and participating in escalation conference calls. Providing accurate reporting of status, hours worked, and non-conformances. Adhering to the security policy and quality standards of Applied Materials and its customers. Your education and experience should include a Technician, Bachelor's, or Master's degree with a technical background in areas such as mechanical assembly, equipment installation, maintenance, mechatronics, electronics, electrical, mechanical, or similar. Some experience or knowledge with Applied Materials CVD/CMP/EPI tools would be an advantage but not required. You should also possess:
Troubleshooting skills to solve mechanical and electrical issues during system installation. Project management skills to control installation projects within budget, timeline, and quality requirements. Ability to work autonomously and confidently in English to communicate with colleagues and experts from around the world. Good knowledge of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint). The position requires extensive traveling throughout Europe, up to 90%.
