Job Description
Within the Group Chief Transformation Officer function, we are looking for a talented and proactive resource to join the team. The Innovation Intern plays a fundamental part in supporting innovation projects, scaling ideas across multiple business units, and successfully managing and monitoring practical innovation activities for the group.
The candidate will support the Central Innovation function in connecting and instigating innovative initiatives, equipping our colleagues worldwide with the right innovation tools, and empowering the diffusion of the innovation culture and methodologies. The role also entails looking at opportunities to leverage existing and exploring new partnerships and communicating success within and outside of the company.
Key responsibilities of the role will include:
Support the operations of the Central Innovation Fund, in the following aspects:Promoting and overseeing the process of idea generationCollating, assessing and presenting submitted ideas to decision-makersContributing to the decision making process for early stage initiativesCollecting performance metrics on implementation of ideasMonitoring portfolio to track significant innovations across the GroupContribute to the continuous improvements of the process and tools used to manage the Innovation Fund Support with scaling-up of ideas across multiple BUs, in the following areas:Identifying and sharing ideas, which present an opportunity to be scaled upFacilitating formal communities, where expertise, experiences and ideas can be sharedMaintaining the tools for initiatives and knowledge sharing Support on governance and best practice of the central innovation function, in the following areas:Producing clear reports which illustrate the scope and performance of innovation activities to the senior management of the companyBeing a champion of the WeInnovate methodology and related innovation toolsOverseeing the internal and external communication of key messages around innovation at Generali in conjunction with Internal Communications Requirements
Our ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Innovation, Management or any related fieldPassion for Innovation and willingness to push the boundariesProficient in Powerpoint and Excel (or equivalent)Great communicator - comfortable with Social Media and StorytellingHigh level understanding of Corporate Innovation
Nice to have:
Some level of understanding of Project and Portfolio Management methodologiesHigh level understanding of the Insurance value chain, InsurTech / FinTech ecosystems preferred
