For a global semiconductor leader, we seek a highly motivated, talented, and experienced Analog Integrated Circuit Design Engineer to support the Cloud and Data Center Power Business Unit.
The CDC Business Unit mission is to define, design and manufacture leading edge monolithic Switched Mode Power Supply (SMPS) products in BCD technology, such as:
Integrated power stages up to 100A delivered current for multiphase SMPS for server and AI; 16V to sub-1V step down PoL with integrated Power Stage and PMBus for server, network and communication; 3.3V to 0.5V step down PoL for Optical Modules; Hot Swap. As a Principal Analog Design Engineer, you will have the following responsibilities: Work within an analog/mixed-signal design team based in Catania (Italy), Dublin, and other locations worldwide. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define, implement and introduce products to our customers including business, applications, product definition, product engineering, layout, test engineering, project management, CAD/EDA, etc. Lead medium and high-complexity ICs from architecture selection to implementation and debugging, managing analog and digital teams. Mixed-mode IC top-level/block design, transistor-level circuit design and simulation. Utilize recommended design and verification techniques, tools & flows to produce efficient designs which meet specifications. Ensure successful integration of blocks into larger mixed-signal systems. Support other development team functions, such as layout, application, and test, to ensure successful delivery and meeting all requirements. Perform hands-on evaluation of ICs in the lab. Required Skills/Experience: Master's Degree in Electronic Engineering and 8+ years' experience as analog circuit designer. Strong fundamentals in analog and mixed-signal design, tools and flows. Design experience with circuits such as amplifiers, DACs, ADCs, bandgaps, bias circuits, LDOs, and switching power supply circuits. Experience in leading complex and large Mixed-Signal ICs. Good understanding of power supply control architectures. Knowledge of BCD process technologies. Understanding of digital IC design. Understanding of physical phenomena such as latch-up, HCI degradation, and other reliability issues. Nice to have: Strong interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills. Ability to take ownership of top-level subsystems and integration in the mixed-signal environment. Willingness to travel to support product definition (10% of the time).
