Our Infrastructure Architects are responsible for keeping up with the latest and greatest of these changes and using their expertise to deliver solutions that meet the needs of our customers and products.
Your Role and Responsibilities
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and its partners, acting as a trusted advisor on system architecture and emerging technologies.
Understand client's business needs (with a special focus on the Italian Public market) and provide tailored system architecture solutions on selected technologies, focusing on scalability, security, and reliability.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and address complex architectural challenges and problems.
Design enterprise solutions using IBM hardware and software to meet diverse business and technical needs.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
15+ years of experience in IT, with a focus on system architecture, design, and implementation.
Master's degree in a technical-scientific field or equivalent education.
Deep knowledge of IBM Power System (Power 8, Power 9, and Power 10), including customization and management.
Deep knowledge of operating systems AIX and Linux running on IBM Power System.
Ability to configure, verify, and document direct and virtualized LAN connectivity, Power/VM and VIOS, Fiber channel, Etherchannel, ROCE cards on RDMA protocol, internal VLANs, and integration with external switches and routers.
Ability to configure, verify, and document RSCT and Spectrum Scale software components on AIX, Hardware Management Console (HMC), PowerVM Partition Mobility (offline), and PowerVM Live Partition Mobility between Power systems of different but compatible technologies.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Fluent English language (spoken and written).
