What you'll do As part of the European Vodafone Network Operation (VNO) Organization and included into Cloud&OSS department, Infra & OS Technical Coordinator is accountable for the operation & maintenance of Infrastructure and Operating System in the Network Ops environment (Sysadmin and Fast Delivery) for Italy.
Who you are Main responsibilities Change Management: Manage and execute changes, providing assistance in new projects during all stages, including design, planning, delivery, assessment, operation, and maintenance.Incident Management: Perform troubleshooting and error handling for O.S., Database, and HW infrastructure layers until issue resolution within the agreed SLA, aiming to minimize service outages.Problem Management: Avoid repetitive incidents, identify and solve root causes, and engage external stakeholders when necessary.Guarantee security obligations across the entire perimeter of the platforms under responsibility (Security activities patching, vulnerability, hardening) according to best practices and company procedures.Periodic monitoring of platforms, performance tuning, capacity planning, and trend analysis.Team-oriented approach and ability to work across multi-functional boundaries.Decision-making & Problem-solving skills to manage emergency situations and improve performance.Managing and supporting a mixed environment of Windows, RedHat, HP-UX, Solaris, Linux, and other Operating Systems, including Oracle databases.Good knowledge of automation solutions (Ansible, Big Fix, Git, Python).Key performance indicators: Build good relationships with stakeholders.Stimulate synergies, harmonization, and consolidation activities inside Network Operation.Ensure network evolution plans and new service introduction.Service availability and quality with fast reaction time to incidents.Reduction in incidents caused by change.Must have technical / professional qualifications: University degree: faculty of Computers, Telecommunications, or Information Technology.Experience in Telecommunications in a similar position.Good communication skills in Italian and English (spoken and written).
