Duties Serves as Configuration Manager (CM) for the 509th/RNEC Area of Responsibility.
Performs technical, analytical, and advisory functions pertinent to the configuration, control, and development of Enterprise IT Configuration Management policies and strategic plans.
Serves as a project manager, responsible for identifying project parameters including customer requirements, stakeholders, critical path, timeline, and funding.
Develops, coordinates, and staffs project plans.
Oversees projects from beginning to end, making necessary adjustments to project plan in coordination with staff, leadership, and customer.
Responsible for developing and implementing RNEC initiatives, processes, and performance parameters designed to improve logistical practices and contract planning aligned to operational endeavors.
Serves as Battalion Information Technology Acquisitions Management Representative.
Requirements Conditions of Employment Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
Must be able to obtain and maintain SECRET security clearance.
The IT classification for this position is IT III.
This position is designated as Non-critical sensitive, Tier 3.
This position requires travel away from the normal duty station up to 20%.
Incumbent is required to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450.
Current DoD Employees: If a current permanent CES employee, you shall be granted administrative return rights.
If not a current permanent CES employee, you may be granted administrative return rights if agreed to by your CONUS organization.
This position is Mission Essential.
In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations (natural or man-made disaster), the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
Qualifications In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations.
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe one year specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position.

Specialized experience would be demonstrated by performing technical, analytical, and advisory functions pertinent to the configuration, control, and development of Enterprise IT Configuration Management policies and strategic plans; advising and assisting internal and external customers in their development of network communications, telecommunications infrastructure expansion or restoral, and automation plans; developing and managing acquisitions and contractual documents and requirements.
