In House Counsel - Group Strategic Legal Affairs

Generali is a major player in the global insurance industry - a strategic and highly important sector for the growth, development and welfare of modern societies.
Within the Group General Counsel team we are looking for a In House Counsel - Group Strategic Legal Affairs.
The successful applicant will be working within the Group Strategic Legal Affairs team reporting to its responsible manager.
She/he will be involved in all activities carried out by the team, notably in M&A, bancassurance, structured finance and strategic partnership transactions.
Also considering the seniority of the position, the involvement in the project will be highly demanding and a lot of autonomy will be required.
Key responsibilities of the role will include:
- Carrying out in-depth legal analysis
- Negotiating transaction documents and presenting such transactions to the internal stakeholders (group M&A, group CFO, group Strategy, etc.
also managing the relationship with the Bus involved from time to time), as well as appointing and managing external legal advisors, when involved
Must have
- At least 5 to 8 year of specific experience in law firms or in house legal departments of large companies in an international environment
- Previous experience in M&A, bancassurance and structured finance (bonds issuance and financing) as well as proven ability to autonomously negotiate the main transaction documents for such deals
