APPLICATION CLOSING DATE: September, 4th 2024 The Human Technopole Foundation (HT) is an interdisciplinary Research Institute, created and supported by the Italian Government, whose aim is to develop innovative strategies to promote human health and healthy aging through a multidisciplinary and integrated approach, combining genomics, computational biology, structural biology, neuroscience and health data science. HT scientists work together to enable interdisciplinary research and to create an open, collaborative environment to help promote life science research nationally and internationally. In line with its mission to serve the research community at large, HT operates National Facilities, specifically aimed at making HT's technologies, methods and tools available to the national scientific community.
The Human Technopole Foundation is looking for a Procurement Specialist for our Procurement and Supply Chain Department.
Reporting to the IT Category and Direct Purchasing Manager, the role will support the purchase of goods and services of the requesting departments in understanding and sizing their needs, in preparing technical and administrative documents for tender submission, in identifying the awarded supplier and managing the negotiation phase.
Your main tasks and responsibilities Collaborating with the different departments and budget owners to carry out procurement projects to be managed, specific requirements and the appropriate spending strategy, considering best practices, market trends and supplier capabilities;Price analysis (analysis and cost optimization), negotiation with suppliers, evaluation of different proposals, monitoring market trends and scouting of new suppliers in order to activate services and/or acquire goods;Managing the purchase process of goods and services below threshold. Use the internal system (SAP) in order to manage the purchase orders according to internal customer needs.Job requirementsMandatory requirements Fluency in ItalianGood written and spoken knowledge of English (at least B1 level);At least 3 years of experience in a Procurement or sales role;Good use of MS Office (Excel).Preferential requirements: Work experience in/with the Public Sector;Good use of SAP;Previous experience in a research institute or university;Knowledge of the Public Procurement Sector (Procurement Code – Legislative Decree no. 50/2016 and 36/2023) including document preparation is considered a plus;Organizational and social skills: Ability to work well under pressure, with tight deadlines and priority changes;Analytical skills and precision;Excellent interpersonal communication, negotiation and contract management skills;Excellent problem solving capacity and collaborative approach with internal and external stakeholders.Special consideration will be given to candidates who are part of the protected categories list, according to L. 68/99.

Salary range: up to € 37k depending on the candidate's experience
