**HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER**
We're currently seeking an HR Manager to join our team at Villa Igiea, a Rocco Forte Hotel, Palermo.
Reporting to the General Manager with a dotted line to the Area Director of People & Culture, Sicily, the HR Manager will be responsible for overseeing various HR functions to support the operational needs of the hotel. This includes talent acquisition, leadership development, performance management, and workplace safety programs.
Furthermore, the HR Manager will collaborate closely with the General Manager and Area Director of People & Culture to implement effective communication and engagement strategies that align with the hotel's and Rocco Forte Hotels' objectives, fostering a unique company culture and philosophy.

**Reporting Line**: General Manager, with a dotted line to the Area Director of People & Culture, Sicily
- Facilitate the onboarding process for new team members and managers, including conducting induction training sessions.
- Offer expert advice and guidance to managers on all matters related to people management.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns.
- Coordinate and schedule regular team member activities and celebrations, maintaining a shared calendar.
- Ensure that employee areas and services consistently meet company standards and are welcoming to all.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of hotel service delivery and best practices in People & Culture.
- Utilise key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess and communicate results, aiding in the achievement of business goals and informing daily decision-making.
- Collaborate with the General Manager and managers to address improvement areas identified in the annual employee engagement survey.
- Organise health and safety training sessions in compliance with Italian law and oversee record-keeping.
- Work closely with the Learning & Development Manager to identify training needs and contribute to ongoing improvement efforts based on daily interactions with managers and exposure to guest service and department operations.
- Assist the Area Director of People & Culture in budgeting for workforce, payroll, and other personnel-related expenses.
- Partner with the Regional Recruitment Manager to support talent attraction initiatives and aid managers in the selection process.
- Foster positive relationships with unions in collaboration with the guidance of the Area People & Culture Director, Sicily.
- Handle disciplinary matters as needed.
- Provide support to the People & Culture Team at Verdura Resort as required.
**Preferred Qualifications & Experience**:
- Previous working experience in Italy in a similar role with a solid background in human resources management.
- Excellent knowledge of Italian labour law.
- BA/BS/Bachelor's Degree or equivalent from business or hotel school.
- Fluent in Italian & English.
- Luxury hospitality experience.
