Hull Fabrication Manager Work Location: Italy / China Mission • Ensure the overall yard management, supervise activities efficiency and effectiveness and check that all the operative and staff teams achieve their objectives for the realization of projects carried out in the Fabrication Yard.
• Manage flow of information and interfaces, participating in all relevant decisions that impact both operative and staff activities.
Tasks • Promote safe work practices and environmental protection, ensuring that safety standards are respected.
• Supervise all yard activities, managed directly or through sub-contractors, optimizing technical, economic, and competitive results.
• Approve overall yard project programs, operative strategies, and budgets ensuring that all operative and staff resources are properly allocated based on project needs.
• Identify, in cooperation with the Fabrication Operations Manager, all yard-related investments and propose them to the Asset function.
• Consolidate and approve all risk and opportunity analyses related to all yard operations.
• Interface closely with all staff functions, both in Corporate and Operating Company, ensuring that programs regarding the allocation and development of key resources are optimized, promptly verifying and integrating available information on resources used at Fabrication Yard.
• Ensure that yard activities are organized coherently with the typical yard organizational structure as defined in Corporate guidelines, procedures, and standards.
• Ensure that Corporate guidelines, procedures, and standards are observed and contribute to their correct application in the Yard.
• Supervise all project activities carried out in the Fabrication Yard, ensuring compliance with assigned budget and schedule.
• Contribute to the development, spreading, and adoption of the company philosophy and working practices inspired by Quality, Safety, Health, and Environmental Protection values.
• Promote continuous improvement processes, also through lean techniques and methods.
• Promote the identification of improvement opportunities for managing material leftovers at the yard.
• Elaborate yard yearly budget.
• Ensure that the incentive system is designed coherently with yard objectives.
• Promote industrial relations with local stakeholders (labor associations, unions, etc.), providing sustainable development for the company and for the local community.
