**Position overview**:
The Plant HR Manager is responsible for delivering on-site HR service in support of people strategy, building people management capability within stakeholder group, and driving consistency and efficiency in operational delivery.
You will work with plant management team to develop the local HR strategy and deploy the global/regional one, and support various HR-related activities.
**Key responsibilities include**:
- Being the ambassador of Ball's culture, driving the right behaviours amongst all plant employees.
- Implementing new regional/global HR policies and harmonizing it with the current ones.
- Monitoring compliance with regulatory ethical standards and the local employee relations laws.
- Providing advice and support to managers in grievance and disciplinary procedures.
- Assisting the plant leadership team with communicating organisational changes.
- Developing relationships with local universities, colleges, schools and communities as appropriate.
- Driving goal-setting and performance management processes, following up with managers where necessary.
- Lead and participate in the negotiations with the work councils / unions and collective bargaining agreement.
Addressing union related issues i.e.
grievance resolution.
- Assessing talent risk for the site and determines strategies to develop plant succession plans.
- General HR administration and payroll supervision (absence management, offer letters, contracts of employment, changes to terms and conditions etc).
**Experience required**:
- Strong communication skills across all organisational levels and customer service mindset
- Previous experience in an HR business-partnering role.
- Confident in Microsoft Office and experience using SAP SuccessFactors or equivalent HR database.
- Experience working within international manufacturing/consumer goods/industrial environment
- Confident knowledge of employment legislation.
- Experience working in unionised environment.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
