HR MANAGER For an important industrial multinational company, we are looking for an HR Manager.
Job Summary: Reporting to the HR Country Leader, the HR Manager will focus on two plants in Northern Italy, including 4 legal entities, and provide local partnership and advice to the local business leaders while working in close collaboration with the other HR team members. The role will supervise 4 resources.
General Responsibilities: Execute HR plans, processes, and programs aligned with business objectives and overall HR strategy; Contribute to the development of a local business strategy, its implementation, and communication through translation into measurable functional and individual objectives; Develop and maintain the local HR policies, ensuring that HR practices and policies comply with statutory/government regulations; Support operational activities such as employee life cycle activities and documentation, payroll checks and supervision, reporting, labor cost calculations, on and off boarding; Provide local support during annual processes such as PMP (Performance management process), Development Planning, Compensation Planning cycle, Employee Engagement; Support local managers on Organizational design; Collaborate with and provide counsel and coaching to local leadership and managers, individual contributors, and other HR team members on critical issues impacting the business and/or work environment to ensure resolution and drive continuous improvement; Manage and coordinate outsourcing vendors; Lead and participate in negotiations with unions and collective bargaining agreements, addressing union-related issues (5 Trade Unions); Monitor the correct application of labor law, CCNL rules, and manage disciplinary/litigation procedures; Supervise the Talent Acquisition, Training/Development, Time & Attendance, and Payroll processes. Workplace: Eastern province of Milano. Travel required to other company sites in Northern Italy.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education: Degree in business, organizational development, human resources, or other related field or equivalent experience. Experience: 3 to 8 years progressive HR experience; Demonstrated experience in HR operations combined with a working knowledge and application of safety, health, compensation, recruitment, performance management; Knowledge/experience of employment laws in Italy; Demonstrated experience of working with local works councils and Unions; Experience coaching and mentoring leaders and teams to achieve success. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Fluent English; Strong communication skills for building trust and relationships – listening, confrontation, situational leadership & coaching; Experience and comfort speaking and facilitating with small and large groups; Decision making and problem-solving skills; Creativity and initiative with follow-through; Planning and organizing; Drive for results with the ability to balance needs/interests/demands and work in alignment with the objectives of multiple stakeholders. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Other business experience (i.e., sales, operations, etc.); Experience in a manufacturing environment; Knowledge/experience with competencies for development or recruitment; Prior experience working within a complex matrix organization; Knowledge and experience in organizational development, team dynamics, leading and inspiring change in and throughout the organization.
