Job DescriptionThis is a key role in providing robust, value-add HR support and service across Italy, whilst supporting the delivery of the Global HR Strategy into the business to build our culture, values, and capabilities.
As HR Manager, you will provide guidance to managers on effective strategic HR initiatives and ensure a strong people experience for employees, support the end-to-end employment lifecycle, lead critical changes, and ensure compliance with Italian employment law.Reporting to the Regional HR Manager for South EMEA, the HR Manager role will provide support to Italy, including 3 legal entities (2 factories and 1 selling entity).
The HR Manager will be a business partner to the Country Leader and Plant Managers, providing advice to local business leaders while working closely with other HR team members.In this role, you will work closely with the Plant Managers and the wider leadership teams to enable effective delivery of strategic HR initiatives and proactively support managers and employees with best practice HR advice to deliver a high-performance workforce and engaged culture.
You will work on a wide range of projects to optimize our organizational design and build engagement while supporting the delivery of the Global HR Strategy into the business.
You will have line management responsibility for one HR Advisor.
The role will be based in Lucca; however, you will be required to travel occasionally to Bergamo where Rotork has one of its factories.This role would suit a determined problem-solver who can coach, influence, and support managers and leaders on a range of people activities.
You will provide robust employee relations advice across all areas relating to employment law and ensure adherence to our policies and practices.
You will lead and participate in negotiations with unions and collective bargaining agreements, addressing union-related issues.
You will support the recruitment and selection of employees across all disciplines to ensure a fair and structured approach.
You will be responsible for the pay review process and ensure adherence to the Reward Strategy while coaching managers around process and procedure, working with the country and wider leadership team to build a strong positive employee culture and levels of engagement.Experience Requirements:HR Qualified with a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.5 to 8 years progressive HR experience.Demonstrated experience in HR operations combined with a working knowledge and application of safety, health, compensation, recruitment, and performance management.Knowledge/experience of employment laws in Italy.Demonstrated experience of working with local works councils and unions.Experience coaching and mentoring leaders and teams to achieve success.Prior experience working with complex matrix organizations.Fluent in English.The Successful Candidate:Stakeholder management – able to engage and motivate others.Decision making – able to make decisions quickly and often without all the information available.Problem solving and ability to identify risk.
