You'll collaborate most often with fellow HR Generalists, HR Specialists, and of course our diverse employee population.The FLSmidth Group is embarking on a journey to explore divestment opportunities for FLSmidth Cement.
In addition to supporting the divestment process, this role will be instrumental in shaping the strategy for HR Operations, anchored in a leader-led business model.
FLSmidth Cement is in the forefront of the global green transition in cement production – the clear objective to shape a sustainable future, while at the same time position the company for future growth.Your responsibilitiesRecruit talented individuals to join FLSmidthOnboard new hires by coordinating pre-hire activities and delivering orientationInput quality data into Workday, advise employees and managers on the system process flow, and monitor data flowing into payrollDraft and deliver communication related to HR processes/benefits/policiesAssist with compensation, benefits, and leave of absence related activitiesTriage employee relations issues, managing common or routine issues and escalating more complex casesConduct investigations, review policies, and gather relevant informationEnsure compliance with local labor laws, unions and other regulatory agenciesPartner with leadership to conduct workforce reorganizationsPromote positive employee relations through design, communication, and interpretation of human resources policies and programsAct proactively to analyze data, prepare reports, and make recommendationsChampion new ideas, manage change, and execute on action plansParticipate in HR projects as assignedWhat you bringFluency in English and Italian requiredBachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Communication, or similar (equivalent experience will also be considered)5+ years of experience in an HR role strongly preferredPrevious experience with Italian unions and labor law requiredPrevious experience in matrix organization supporting employees in different countriesEagerness to operate at the global level, with the proven ability to quickly learn and adapt to employment norms in each of the countries we operate inSolution-oriented approach with a big picture mindset Active HR certification or the ability to acquire a certification within 1 yearStrong communication and customer service skillsMastery of Workday preferredAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Proactive and efficient approach with strong follow-throughCommitment to confidentiality with a high level of integrityPlease note, all CV's, resumes, and cover letters must be submitted in English.
